On July 19 the Rosselkhoznadzor held a meeting with representatives of the National Plant Quarantine and Protection Organizations of China and India on the margins of the 75th regular Session of the World Trade Organization Committee for Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures. The talks were focused on ensuring phytosanitary safety in mutual supply of plant products.

The meeting of the Rosselkhoznadzor representatives headed by Sergey Dankvert and extended delegation of the European Union was held in Moscow on July 16. During the negotiations the European party was headed by Acting Director of Directorate D, Directorate General for Health and Food Safety (DG SANTE) of the European Commission Matthew Hudson. The aim of the talks was to discuss topical issues of cooperation in the veterinary and phytosanitary field. The representatives of the Permanent Mission of the Russian Federation to the European Union, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia and the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia also took part in the meeting.

On April 22-26, 2019 the representatives of the Rosselkhoznadzor and Grain Quality Assessment Center visited Baghdad (Republic of Iraq) where they participated in the 8th meeting of the Russian-Iraqi Commission on Trade, Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation, as well as took part in technical expert consultations.

On April 26, 2019 a teleconference was held between the representatives of the Rosselkhoznadzor and the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (GACC) on the initialling of draft Protocols on phytosanitary requirements for barley, beet pulp, soybean, rapeseed, sunflower meal and cake exported from Russia to China.

The Rosselkhoznadzor specialists will visit Japan on April 23-28, 2019 at the invitation of the Food Safety and Consumer Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan. The purpose of the visit will be the joint inspection of planting material lots prepared for shipment to the Russian Federation in accordance with the requests of participants of foreign economic activity received by the Rosselkhoznadzor.

Talks between Julia Shvabauskene, Deputy Head of the Rosselkhoznadzor,  and Harun SEÇKİN, Deputy General Manager of  General Directorate of Food and Control, Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, were held on April 18 in Moscow. Representatives of the Turkish Embassy in Russia and RF Ministry of Agriculture took part in the talks. During the negotiations the parties arranged that on the verge of the high season they will consider the issue of joint inspection of production sites in order to prevent import of contaminated products. The Turkish party will provide the Rosselkhoznadzor with the list of large Turkish fruit and vegetable producers planning to export to the Russian Federation.

The Rosselkhoznadzor held phone talks with the Plant Protection Organization under the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad of the Republic of Iran on April 16. The competent authorities discussed export of fruit and vegetables to Russia.

The teleconference was held on April16. The Rosselkhoznadzor initiated consultations to discuss exports of Chilean blueberries to Russia. It was noted that 410 tons of Chilean blueberries were imported to Russia within 3.5 months of 2019, whereas only 300 tons were imported within the 12 months of 2018. Thereat the products were re-exported through the territory of the Netherlands.
