Due to detection of a case of pandemic influenza H1N1 in pigs in the district of Ilmajoki (Northern Finland), the Rosselkhoznadzor took a decision to impose temporary restrictions on import of live pigs, pork and raw pork products from this district to the Russian Federation from September 23, 2010.

In addition to Letter No. FS-NV-2/11270 dd. 14.10.2009 the Rosselkhoznadzor informs that due to spread of influenza H1N1 virus among people, temporary restrictions previously imposed on import from Japan to the Russian Federation of live pigs, pork and products thereof that have not undergone heat treatment, are lifted from 09.12.2009.
