On November 26-30, 2018 the Delegation of the All-Russian Plant Quarantine Centre (FGBI VNIIKR),headed by Director Alexander Sapozhnikov paid an official visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The visit of the RF delegation was mainly aimed at signing the Cooperation Agreement between the FGBI VNIIKR and State Plant Quarantine Inspection Serviceof the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Agreement envisages strengthening bi-lateral relations in the field of plant quarantine and development of scientific and research cooperation between the FGBI VNIIKR and Inspection Service “Uzgoskarantin”.
During the stay Alexander Sapozhnikov visited the International Export Exhibition and Fair “Made in Uzbekistan” where he took part in the round table discussion “Role and tasks of the Inspection Service “Uzgockarantin” in increasing trade potential of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Speaking before the participants of the event Alexander Sapozhnikov, Director of the All-Russian Plant Quarantine Centre, drew attention to readiness to effective cooperation between the authorized institutions of both countries in the field of quarantine and plant protection. He also spoke about the FGBI VNIIKR activities related to scientific and research support of the Rosselkhoznadzor activities as well as to synthesis and production o pheromones and biological agents for plant protection.
The Delegation also visited the Laboratory of the State Plant Quarantine Inspection Service.
