The Rosselkhoznadzor delegation took part in the Seventh Meeting of the Intergovernmental Russian-Macedonian Commission for Economic, Scientific and Scientific Cooperation and in technical consultations on October 2-4, 2018.
Besides, the Rosselkhoznadzor representatives participated in the business breakfast of Dmitry Patrushev, RF Minister of Agriculture, and Aziz Akhannouch, Moroccan Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, smaller plenary discussions of the commission and in the plenary meeting itself with participation of previously specified high-ranking officials and Salaheddine Mezouar, Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs.
In the framework of this event the meeting between the Rosselkhoznadzor delegation headed by the Dmitry Natarov, Deputy Head of the Rosselkhoznadzor, and Mr. Abdellah JANATI, Deputy Director, National Office for Food Safety (ONSSA).
During the meeting the parties discussed topical issues of cooperation between the Services. Thus, the veterinary certificate for dairy product export from the Russian Federation to the Kingdom of Morocco was harmonized and signed. The certificate will be published on the official Rosselkhoznadzor website in the nearest time.
The Moroccan party promised to give its comments regarding the veterinary certificate for beef export from Russia to Morocco.
The parties also mentioned the importance of previously harmonized veterinary certificates for export of live marine animals, animal feed of plant origin, apiary products and fish roe from Russia to Morocco.
Besides, the Moroccan party explained that ONSSA is in charge of checking certificates for halal products during halal product export to Morocco. The Moroccan party is also planning to provide updated lists of Moroccan establishments wishing to export heat-treated products from poultry meat and raw casings so that the Rosselkhoznadzor could consider the opportunity of their inspection by the Rosselkhoznadzor specialists and as well the official request for inclusion of new establishments, complying with ONSSA and EAEU veterinary and sanitary requirements wishing to export their fish and marine products to Russia.
Herewith, the parties agrees that ONSSA would update the list of Moroccan establishments manufacturing fish and marine products excluding those establishments that do not export their products to the EAEU.
These agreements were recorded in the Minutes of the Russian-Moroccan Intergovernmental Commission.
Besides, the Rosselkhoznadzor delegation took part in the round-table meeting “Grain Cooperation: opportunities for joint project implementation” and presented the report “Russia – the global wheat export leader”. The event was held in the framework of the Business Mission of Russian companies in the Kingdom of Morocco confined to the Russian – Moroccan Intergovernmental Commission.
