Dmitry Andreychuck, Leading Researcher of the FGBI ARRIAH subordinated to the Rosselkhoznadzor, took part in the World Congress on Veterinary Epidemiology held in the Republic of Korea, in July 2017. The Congress was organized by the Department of veterinary epidemiology of the Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency, the Republic of Korea.
Representatives from the Far East- Asia region took part in the Congress, i.e. delegates from the Republic of Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, China, Kenya, Mongolia, Russia and the USA.
The delegates from the mentioned countries made plenary speeches about epizootic situation on highly dangerous animal diseases, such as FMD, HPAI, on use of the cutting–edge electronic technologies, net programmees and global databases for monitoring of migration of wild animals who are disease carriers. They also provided analysis of cost-effectives of programmes supporting highly dangerous animal disease surveillance projects.
The representative of the FGBI ARRIAH made a report at the congress on spread of HPAI in Russia in 2016-2017.
