Visit of Singapore’s Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority to the FGBI ARRIAH
On March 21, 2017 representatives of the Singapore Agri-Food
and Veterinary Authority visited FGBI “Federal Centre for Animal Health” in the
framework of the working visit to the Russian Federation aimed at
familiarization and assessment of the Russian animal product (poultry meat,
pork, ready-to-eat meat products) safety assurance system and assessment of
risks associated with these product export to Singapore.
During the meeting the FGBI “ARRIAH” specialists presented
detail information on basic areas of the Center’s scientific and research
activities aimed at ensuring biological safety and disease freedom in the
country. They told about contemporary methods of diagnosis and prevention of
economically significant animal diseases applied by the Centre as well
development of veterinary preparations and diagnostic kits in the FGBI “ARRIAH”.
The Centre’s specialists presented a detail report on the
epidemic situation of highly dangerous diseases of animals and birds in the
Russian Federation. In particular, special attention was given to highly
pathogenic avian influenza.
At the end of the visit the parties summed up the results.
The meeting was productive for all participants of the event that was held
within the process aimed at approval of animal product export to the
